In an effort to enhance energy security and promote sustainable practices, the Ministry of Defense of Somalia undertook a solar power project at one of its key facilities in Mogadishu in 2023.

The project aimed to harness the area's abundant sunshine and provide a sustainable solution to the local community's energy needs.

In 2023, a 10 kW hybrid solar and wind energy system was installed at a residential property in this area.

Eldoret, a major town in western Kenya, has embraced solar energy as a sustainable and cost-effective solution for its street lighting needs. In 2023, a comprehensive solar street lighting project was undertaken in various neighborhoods across the town.

Athi River, an industrial hub in Machakos County, has embraced renewable energy solutions to meet its growing energy demands. In 2023, a large-scale 500 kW solar project was successfully completed in this region, contributing significantly to the area's sustainability efforts.

The project involved the installation of approximately 225 high-efficiency solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, each with a capacity of around 450 watts. The panels were carefully mounted the residential rooftop structure, strategically oriented to maximize solar irradiation and energy production.
